trapperman 474
I found an old leather waistcoat that I had many years ago when I was clearing out the garage, I don’t want to chuck it as it was quite expensive it’s gone a bit hard but hasn’t cracked yet I’ve read that castor oil is quite good to soften it but just wondering if anyone has any other advice ? cheers
shovel leaner 7,650
I would use some saddle soap . My Mrs and kids had horses and there was always some knocking about . I’ve found it’s good for softening dried out leather . I use it on game bag straps and gun slips and any leather which starts to crack . ATB

Greyman 28,453
I watch quite a few car restoration programs, and a product called elephant wax seems to have some amazing properties for bringing old leather back to life, you warm it in your hands the work it into the leather you can get it on amazon
