COMPO 54
£1.25 Skinned at my butchers and he takes as many as i can catch!!! there is only so many rabbits you and the ferrets can eat, i turn the rest into beer tokens Perhaps my ferrets should be re-named beer and peanuts? gnipper 6,426
£1.75 off the butchers skinned and gutted, only problem is there isn't enough around to have surplus to sell. By the time ive fed the ferrets and minced them for my dogs i'd maybe get £4.50 Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
£1 whole but usually give them away. Have to be headshot, ferreted or snared though as he wont take anything dogged or body shot. Quote Link to post
Guest dotty
i used to sell to the butcher and onlt ever got £1 per ferreted and gutted rabbit. mind you i was quite young then and the butcher probably ripped me off a bit. i now give all my catch to the local pub. in return i get free drinks and meals when ever i like. i'm not a great chief so it is a great deal for me. dytkos 17,784
If you can get £1.50 each gutted, not skinned, you've got a great deal. Don't tell anybody else locally! Quote Link to post
Netter 0
I havn't ever found anywhere that will take them in skins, either guts in or out, near me. but I can sell a few in the pub skinned for £2 each, but failing that the only butcher that will take them will only pay £1.20 each for them. Guest Ditch_Shitter
F*ckin murder, isn't it? Thirty years ago I was getting thirty bob a rabbit. And that probably bought me a couple of pints or so back then. Now it's still thirty f*ckin bob and a pint's twice that! 'Mind you; I always knocked mine out in the pubs. Never sold one to a butcher or dealer in my life. I'd sooner give them away locally and hurt the greedy b*stards pocket that way than flog to him at 1.50, to see him slap an £8.00 price ticket on them even as I walk out the door. Quote Link to post
ShaggyRS6 0
I give Spare rabbits to my butcher. He then gives me whatever meat I want every now and again. Quote Link to post
