2nd cut silage

As we cut the fields for 2nd cut this afternoon, I thought I would have a quick look this evening.

Got to the farm and straight away I noticed some magpies dive bombing something at the bottom of the first field.  Looked through the scope and I could just see the top of a foxes head.  Now I know these fields well, and this fox was between 300 and 350 yards away.  Not happy with taking the shot with only seeing the top of it's head I waited.  About 10 mins later it got pissed off with the magpies and got up and walked off and through the far hedge.  I quickly walked up the hedge to the next gate and spotted him crossing the next field about 50 yards away.  Perfect for me and dropped this dog fox.

Walked the rest of the farm and caught a glimpse of another but it was through the hedge and onto the railway line before I could get the rifle off my back.  Will have a look for him again tomorrow night
