Aaron 3
We have had the topic on which lamp etc but what colour filter if any do you use? Personally i like an Amber lense on foxes as it takes the glare away but not the brightness but i dont bother with one on rabbits, What do all you use? Regards Aaron Quote Link to post

Guest coney catcher99
have always used a red filter and always will it tends 2 keep them there that little longer even rabbits they dont seem to be so causous with the filter on it works well on lamp shy foxes to Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
I have dimmers on my Lightforce lamps. I troed a red filter on my 140 before but I couldn't get on with it so gave it away to a lad on another site. If I was to (be forced to) try again I'd go for amber but in all honesty for foxes I think they're a bit of a cod as I've done over my lamp shy foxes with a bit of brain power. Quote Link to post
Guest bruno527
i use what ever is around me, as in colour amber for street lights- only red for traffic away- white for traffic comming- always blend with the background.... Quote Link to post
stork 1
We use amber on real dark nights for fox and rabbit if it is not that dark we use clear on both fox and bunny we did use red but the range is poor on foxes. I suppose it depends as well if others are lamping the foxes and making them lamp shy it makes a difference to use a filter and different squeak. Quote Link to post
Ratman2 2
I use red on rats, fox's and bunnys. I do a scan with a hand held white light first just to see what's about, switch of and give it a few moments then switch on the gun lamp with red filter. Works for me. Quote Link to post
