Do you think there could be a problem? My opinion....others may vary.....ttf and ott are both accurate methods of shooting....depends on your preference. Ttf if shooting gangster ( side on..) ...you aim down the centre of the band. The band and ball go through the forks... Ott ......if you shoot gangster......you aim down top of band or tip of fork ....the ball flys over the forks. Due to the ball flying between the forks on ttf catapult there is more chance of a fork hit if you make an error or you are simply learning. A fork hit isn’t end of the world, however if it hits a finger it will cut bruise and hurt it. ......usually badly....I had to stop for a few days last time my finger has a scar. Shooting ttf isn’t harder to do it’s just the mistakes or more costly therefore if it was my son daughter I would have them shoot ott to learn there skills until they are consistent and then try ttf. Something like a scout lt, or wasp seem to be a common little catapult that also accommodates ttf and ott, but the scout lt is a little beauty...£35 delivered from proshot catapults if there in stock. If not check out wasp catapults or Celtic cattys or catty shack. They'll need the right band for the ball size. On the Celtic catty site there’s a link to a fellas site who sells all different type balls.....I shoot 8 or 9.5, but there are others available...he’s by far the cheapest......eg I just got 6,000 8mm delivered for £35. Make sure they check the bands thoroughly and regularly for little nicks etc as these modern bands although good don’t last long. Mr Wilkes 2,980
Yep.... what short straw said ☝... if he does get a fork hit just sand it out. As for Gamekeeper John he’s not got a good reputation for posting on time but he will be happy with his catty when it does turn up . 1

It will arrive, but he’s good at ignoring your emails and keeping people waiting once he has the money, any catty is good for a kid if it gets them outdoors away from screentime , good luck with it and if he needs help don’t be afraid to ask,
