Barbel and carp were a rare catch on the trent when I was a lad its stacked with them now but the chub have dwindled away. 

Nice fish that ,what area was it caught ?

Still full of spawn which is why the closed season should change IMO.

That would be 16-17lb without that 2inch hang down.

Still a fabulous fish but hits a weight when it is at its most vulnerable?

I get that this is my opinion only and may divide!

Don't look to have no length to it at all for that weight, seen fish alot longer only go 15/16 lb

Cracking fish thatthere's some big and bigger uns in the taff, but they are hard to get amoungst... Pal had his first fish after 3 seasons Sunday evening, just under 15,perfect conditions these last few days, the lumps are on the feed....

To be fair mate he does about 4 days a week solid all the way through the season and he been doing it for about 35 years so he deserves it
