Couple of nice Chanterelles.

Starting early this year, must be all the rain.  I now think this is the Ruby Bolete and not the Red Cracking Bolete, not for eating. Cheers Arry

Just got back from the fishing comp and a bit knackered but I know there would be a bit of Fungi about after this drop of rain the last week. So went for a short mooch , good job would have missed the

Think your right mate. Gone a bit dry down here for fungi but did see some Giant Puff Balls from the road but could not stop the other day.

Over the moon, I only find one or two of these a year if I'm lucky.

"Hen of the Woods'' the Japanese call it "Maitake" if you see if for sale it's usually called Maitake.

Usually growing like this one at the base of an Oak Tree but have found them under Sweet Chestnut. A great mushroom that keep for a long time and one of my favourites for taste.

Two different Bolete here one on the left imo is a Butter Bolete and I will eat that one the other imo is the Rooting Bolete notice how its gone blue. This happens very quickly I left that one, if they go blue when cut leave them.

Well I was wrong on this one tried a small piece and it tasted horrible like soap Lol. It's okay if its a bolete and it cuts without turning blue and no red on it anywhere so safe. I now believe this is the "Iodine Bolete" supposed to smell of Iodine. I did smell it but being outside and as windy as f**k didn't pick any smell up.

Still the Hen of the Wood taste nice.
