Blackberrys we picked a few today but most not ready till at least next week or the week after. Seen some down a lane about a month ago that were ready they seem all over the place. The Chicken of the Woods is okay to add to a stew that kinda thing but not the best. Hen of the wood though is one of my favourites. Ceps I can not believe it dropped right on them in a favourite spot under an Oak tree, 26 yesterday and 45 today. Will visit again tomorrow still more coming. Arry 21,868
Just one thing I don't know if they grow on Yew trees but Oyster mushrooms do. Do not eat any fungi growing on a Yew Tree. I have mainly found Chicken of the woods growing on Oak's. Cheers Arry

I have found mainly on Oak and Cherry, never thought about which side of the tree before. Thinking back to last year I picked some from an Oak it had some on the South side and some on the West side. https://www.wildfooduk.com/mushroom-guide/chicken-of-the-woods/ South side small and young. This was higher but a really good example, West side and a small bit starting South side. Closer photo. Over head photo. Cheers Arry 1
