Cheap accomodation, crappy beer and lousy food supplied by miserable people who generally aren't local anyway. I have Cornish family, from Penzance, those who haven't left are the ones that died there, I wouldn't go back unless it was the last place I could have a shit. Simply because of the attitude from so called locals the last time I was there. I had more family history there and they treat me like a foreigner? I live in Somerset now, I treat everyone equally, local or holidaymaker but in Cornwall and parts of Devon visitors are scum. They only want tourist money. Personally I wish every tourist would avoid Devon and Cornwall and leave both counties realising that they need tourists more than tourists need Devon and Cornwall.
