Shortstraw 476
Just decided to treat myself to the simple shot torque...from pro shot. To be honest it’s never really appealed to me, looked a bit of an awkward shape, but apparently it’s supposed to be good for the thumb on frame hold which I do........£25 inc p&p, added the flip clips as well so £35 all in. Should complement the scout lt and occularis. Comes with looped 2040. Anyone tried one? Should be here in a day or two. Edited July 1, 2020 by Shortstraw

I should have asked before I bought..could have saved myself some cash...saying that I fancied an orange one.....do you have an occularis?
Shortstraw 476
Arrived, need to take it out. Tube slits need a little sanding so do the retaining screws, very rough around where the flat head screwdriver/ penny goes...other than that seems spot on. oxo 459
The tubes with mine were too short, first shot was a fork hit! The clips are a bit fiddly and too big for my liking.
Shortstraw 476
Just thought I’d find out the weight ....all with lanyards and bands on scout lt with clips.....101 gram torque with clips........115 gram occularis with rubber bungs and bearings.....95 gram
Shortstraw 476
Took the torque out. Felt a bit strange to hold at first, but once I’d shot a few felt good. Very accurate. It has good wide forks if you have wide bands. Edited July 3, 2020 by Shortstraw
Shortstraw 476
Just an up date on the torque....as mentioned before it’s an accurate catapult, like all SimpleShot catapults I own, but I do have a criticism of it. The clips......they’re the same clips as the ‘scout lt ‘other than they’re slightly bigger to accommodate the wider forks, but the clips on the torque are definitely an afterthought. The bit of the clip that secures the band is narrower than the indent in the catapult, this leads to the clip slightly twisting down when tightening and hence it’s a right pain in the ass to keep it perfectly straight....guess it may come with practice, but I doubt it. Shame as simple shot usually seem to get things right, I’m surprised they haven’t sorted this out.
Shortstraw 476
I’ve had a little bit of a play with putting the bands in the clips. Ive found that if I double the band in the clip it works better for me and I reckon I was slightly over tightening the clips which was aiding the bands not seating straight, still not as good fitting as the scout lt clips, however much better now. It really is a great catapult. Edited July 15, 2020 by Shortstraw
