9 hour round trip, collected my dog pup today. The fella is a gentleman, pot of tea and sandwiches waiting! Spent a good 2 hours talking! Cheers mate!

Dddc is right. A genuine man. Pups were finished well and well socialised. Offered us a pot of tea aswell. ? REBEL:

The wheaton cross isn't a new thing they've been about a long time.  Litter I had 25 years ago and they were about long before that.

Lads do genuinely use lurchers to track and find / hold shot and lost or wounded deer, all legal and above board. Just like there’s nowt wrong on a shooting estate with hunting a fox out of cover with two lurchers and running it to ground (having attempted to shoot but being unable to on safety grounds) and then dropping a terrier in on said fox. All legal and above board!

Well if the owner of the sire told jigsaw the dog had wheaton in it.

then surely it's not jigsaws fault for telling lads who bought the pups that the sire has wheaton blood..

I'd be over the moon that the ain't got wheaton in ?

I was thinking the same.

What difference does it make if it's got wheaten or bull blood in it, the sire is clearly heavy greyhound infused anyway.

One's hairier than the other I suppose but if the sire was a capable foxing dog then wheaten or bull, it don't matter. ?

They do that’s correct But not in the pitch black of night they wouldn’t be shooting deer then be out with a lurcher an lamp looking for it not very convincing story when a picture shows deer with its throat cut a dog with blood all over its chops an the deer looks like it’d been ass ended stating shot an retrieved gotta be the dumbest fecker out there to believe that it’s a ego boost status because any respecting shooting man or Lurcher man wouldn’t have a need for the pat on the back. Not upto date on terrier law but as I understand it even with that you can’t legally be using a dog to kill it’s only to bolt to awaiting guns or nets with a dispatch pistol if a Lurchers /hound as put the fox to ground ain’t it?

Agreed. Totally.

On the terriers as far as I understand you can put a dog to ground to bolt a fox in protection of game birds and if the dog gets stuck you can dig it out and remove the dog and whilst there if you see the quarry you can dispatch it with an appropriate fire arm. You are allowed to use a lurcher to flush, to mark to ground and to either retrieve the dead quarry when shot or track and dispatch the quarry if a poor shot is made.
