Slugs in a FAC S510

I own a .22 AirArms S510 XS Extra (FAC)

A friend of mine gave me a few H&N slugs from a sample pack.  Last night, in between the showers, I shot a group of 8 23 grain slugs and surprisingly got a group under 1 cm at 40 yards before the rain came down.  I have also got a few 25 grain and 21 grain H&N slugs which I have yet to try.  Has anyone here had any experience with a S510 and slugs?

A few lads on here use them in impacts and do well with them, it’s all down to gettin them up to the right speed.. they want to be 900fps+
air arms use Walther barrels that are mint and will handle slugs as long as there not made out of super dense lead. 

There’s a lad making some .25 slugs for me to test sick of waiting for the big manufacturers to release them

Si , had a email back form H&N saying ,unfortunately they are having trouble getting .25 slugs to work and can’t see them coming out anytime soon .

just hope JSB can do better , just wish they did a lighter.22 slug

Would you like them lighter than 21 grain VM?  I’ve got some of the h&n 21 grain, which I’ve put over the chrono at 933fps. I haven’t had chance to test accuracy yet though. I’ve also got a tin of the jsb 25 grain slugs, but haven’t tried these at all yet. Just had time to turn the power down and set up with jsb 18.1’s at 35 yards, which were literally going through the same hole, then put a tin can out at eighty yards and shredding it with ease. I’m looking forward to shooting the slugs at longer range.

H&N slugs at 21 gr are perfect,  group at100 yards yesterday under 25 mm outside as well .

what I would like is the JSB slugs to be 21 or 23 gr and not 25.4 gr

What speed are you running the 21grain h&n’s at VM?

Thanks, that’s just about what I’m set up on now with 95 bar reg pressure and hammer spring backed off slightly. Looking forward to giving them a good test next week if I get time

Have you tried these at 950 FPS 

is it a impact you have ?
