shovel leaner 7,650
I recently purchased a Primos trigger stick tripod with the two point gun rest . I wanted to get the rekon tripod but they are out of stock , and to be honest they are a lot of money. BushWear had a deal on so I got them for £139 . And as usual, very speedy delivery. They work very nicely, in that they drop down and lock well . The two point gun rest works ok . But with my heavy rifles it needs to be perfectly balanced to support it . I might ditch the rest and just use the V shaped support . I think in hindsight I should have saved my money and waited for the rekon . I did however shoot slinky 2 on the run with them and I am confident that I could shoot foxes at distance from sitting position where I can brace my elbows against my knees . I needed something that when I’m on foot I can shoot from standing and track a moving fox and shoot it when it stops . Something I struggled to do with quad sticks . 5 Quote Link to post
David.evans 5,323
I used the same SL in the shed now and don’t come out As you say a bit unsteady with a rifle on top I went down the line of a pig saddle and tripod it’s muCh steadier and I can spin it round no problem atb 1 Quote Link to post
Gav 1,708
Mine just has one "V" mount, but for the amount of time I use it, it's fine. I much prefer been prone anyway. 1 Quote Link to post

philpot 5,062
I have had one for about three years now and find them to be excellent although I don't use the two point rest, not very good in my opinion but never go out without the tripod. As for shooting prone, yes spot on just cant get back up again for fecks sake Phil 3 Quote Link to post
Baldcoot 2,352
Totally agree just sold my 2 point rest as the wobble and slide effect was poor imho ,they missed a chance with the design .See how the seeland quads do in a weeks time as the poults will have had 2 weeks to draw in every charlie for miles so might need the input from my .243 to tell charles to go away. 1 Quote Link to post
FOXHUNTER 5,021
I prefer prone always when shooting foxes but use my twin sticks when shooting rabbits. Have just bought some quad sticks and only shot 1 roe off them so far , steady but a bit faffy to set up much easier with twin sticks but I will persevere with them. 1 Quote Link to post
BenBhoy 4,706
I have a set. I echo others in that ideally I'd go prone but have found the trigger sticks very useful when crops/grass is high. Quote Link to post
bumpy22 414
I have a set of the first viper flex quads. Had them years and are very strong. Great for carrying for does when hocked. Have looked at reckon which I think would work great when calling. but I need you guys to spend your money and give me honest opinion. before I think about spending mine 1 Quote Link to post
Stavross 16,700
I use the trigger sticks all the time, they were definitely money well spent, I keep trying to get little Hugo’s dad to use them but he’s obsessed with his dog sh*t wooden chop sticks, that are ideal for standing if you know exactly where something is coming from but if you need to move you make so much noise you might as well just shout over to it and ask if it minds standing still while you get ready to shoot it. As for prone, since I past 40 I’d probably just nod off 5 Quote Link to post

But It's my luck I will be lying in shit that worries me Quote Link to post
