I've seen a few really good dogs that were useless,throwaway animals to the former owner but in the right hands proved their worth.Some self titled  good dog men go from decent dog to decent dog disgarding them until they luck upon a one off champion just to feed their rep,these aren't dog men at all,they are wankers.

If you keep a decent standard and don’t budge from it you’ll get failures, it’s what you do with them that matters. A lot of men will just lie about it and say the dogs class when it’s not, make every excuse they can think of for a bad performance, this gives the impression that these men must be top class with dogs cause they never get failures but really they’re just full of shit 

Met a few lads like that over the years every dog they seem to have had or keep now are champions till you actually see them run in the flesh then that’s all you get from them is excuse after excuse.

Had it loads, dogs kill 2s 3s every time out then when you see them run they don’t look like killing a thing. Life’s too short to tell lies & make excuses for duffers, best cutting your losses and starting again.

I had a dog jack on me not too long ago, it’s a horrible feeling but always better doing the right thing.

more out of dog than others you maybe been in game far longer than me and have more experience but i cant see in my post where iv said i have a world. Beater ? And as for bullshitting andlies im far to long in tooth for that

Some the only way they get through life is by lying they just can’t help themselves especially when it comes to dogs

why has this thread turned into a hate coursing men thread from a rabbit dog thread, lol, the biggest problem with getting a good coursing dog is the brown hare is harder to catch consistently than people think, so the failure rate will always be high, regardless of breeding.

Some of the best dog lads I’ve met have been in their 20s & some of the worst in their 50s, age isn’t a reflection of how clued up someone is

Not forgetting those that are in there 50./60s were once in 20s ?we all individuals and if all wanted the same life would be boreing everyone to there own ? I dont keep hare courseing dogs just as well as if there is one thing i coulnt tollerate is a none retriever ?

Love watching courseing been to the waterloo cup enough times got no probs with courseing at all but there only so much you can do with dogs and how many you can keep ? Like two crows said how has this become a courseing thread ?
