FX at my rfd

Recommended Posts

I am pleased to say that my local rfd has decided to dip his feet into stocking FX rifles with the first stock arrived last week, Crowns, Dreamline, Impact and Impact Short.  I just kept looking at the Short as it looked strange but of course when you put it in the shoulder, it;s an Impact in every sense but shorter, quicker and lighter,  However,  the mod is useless producing a crack when fired although with no pellet and in the shop, it will be louder but in my opinion, a Swift Stumpy would be a much better option with a section or perhaps two removed.

No scope on so couldnt take it in the range but might pop over and strap on a scope to test it out. I don't know what the shot count is with these smaller air bottles but in sub 12 I am guessing it will still be a few hundred shots per fill and as a ratter or confined area gun, I bet it is a cracker but would I spend £1675 on it......................................hmmmm

Fell in love with a walnut Crown, oooh stunning, light and feels fantastic but I would want a .22 fac if ever I could afford one.  I also kept picking up the new laminate HW110, fcking spot on, looks fab and feels fab at half the price of the Short, no contest really and as an avid fan of FX, I don't say that lightly but having owned the 110k, for a sub 12,  I would have another but this time in .177 laminate.

Oh to dream............................................................................................we came out of the shop with..................................................another shotty for my wife to test as she wants to sell the fantastic Beretta 692 custom as it will release some dosh as she doesn't shoot very often now.

So many things to buy and so little money to buy em with ,,,,,,, wheres the lotto ticket, well you never know and you have to be in it to win it.  ?

110 laminate is stunning to look at and bound to be spot on after all its weihrauch

well you know what I think of the FAC crown .22 , it’s my main gun to go to , although I did take the.25 impact out the other night and can’t fault it specially with the power plenum fitted running at 70 + ftlbs @ 120 ish bar .
last night went out with sub 12 HW100K and BSA ultra both .177 my god didn’t the preform, 3 rabbits with 100k @ 30-60 yards and 4 with the ultra with pulsar 870 lrf 40-75 yards . Some times I wonder if I need FAC ....

I know what you mean Mitch as my hw110k performed really well when I took it out but my mistake as I bought a .22 and struggled with holdover after running the Impact for the previous 3 years or is it 4 years, never mind, next time it will be a .177 then it might get more use.
