THE STIFFMEISTER 15,840
See what the test is pal ? Ad stated the test I believe is safety paramount , blind slew is a fail I think I don’t use it enough to be fair but I think the test is a box and a run if I remember rightly mine was the cpcs not the npors bear in mind people take a dim view of shite operators ive had a few near misses, been hit by a bucket that was blind slewed and and a lad thought he was clever trying to snap steel fixing with the shears good luck and worth doing

Like I said it's good that my company accept it so should be able to get a bit of experience on them quite easily. It's really safety critical these days, when doing excavations and lifting ops each driver needs to have a bamksman and both need to use dect comms. I'm not going to lie I'm far from good on one but always had a play in them given the chance. I can load dumpers and do a decent attempt at a dig but that's about it. The easy part is working the levers, the hard part is knowing where to place yourself and working out the best method for each task. I don't know if I would ever be good enough to do it full time but I don't want to work on the railways forever, had enough of working Saturday night after Saturday night. The good thing about having the 360 is you will get work anyway in the world, who knows what the future brings and I should imagine it would come in very handy indeed. Has anyone on here got the ticket, what's your thoughts on it and the options it gives you? The only way to guarantee failure is not to try, my son in law drives a 360 and my son is in the trench on the shovel laying kerbs etc, one goes to work in clean clothes comes home as clean as he went is in the dry when it rains and air con when it’s warm but earns more money the other leaves earlier works harder is covered in shite all day and earns less, easy maths mate saying that my son actually loves the hard physical graft and would not swap for anything,
Qbgrey 4,089
Trouble is your not allowed out the digger to do any graft so most 360 operators are big fat, unfit fukers.

Insurance doesent cover the driver to be on the ground on some sites. A warm cab and radio is nice in mid winter.

They removed the fuel tank cut the neck off the tank and welded a plate in. Then welded the neck back on. Lifted the rear seats cut a hole and welded a motorbike petrol cap on top of the diesel tank. You had to lift the back seats to fill it with cherry.and fill the neck up to the filler cap with white diesel. If you were pulled and they dipped the tank.only white they could get out. That was before they uses to swab the exhaust pipe for signs of cherry.
