bullet 125
lastnight me and horris went lamping with our hawks, we got there and there was little wind, the first bunnie we got in the lamp horris slipped his bird on it and close it was, we moved to another field where horris slipped his bird again and this time it was closer! just missing, i got one on the lamp squatting for my male, up it got and off my bird went, the bunnie just made it to the edge next thing we know thunder and lightning was going on above us!, so we lamped a few fields on the way back, we got on a an old railway line and a full hail storm hit us hard! we stood there with our backs to it to protect the birds till it past, horris didnt like it one bit and i was laughing at him, we called it a day when the hail stopped as it carried on rainning then turned to snow tonight we went again, the first field had two hares on it, we made it as close as we thought were gonna get so horris slipped his female, she went wide of the beam and cut straight in to it, i think horris stood there in amazment as i had to shout to him to run in quick as his female had it but was having trouble keeping on the buckaruw! lucky for the hare it manage to get free from the bird and get away! we drove to another spot and the first field we had a double slip on a rabbit and horris's female managed to get the bunnie first closely followed by my bird, the night was filled with rabbits squeels! we ran to them and horris got his bird and prize, next my bird had a good flight on a rabbit, loosing sight over a brow he lost it, next horris female had another bunnie secured in her talons, took a tough ride on the back of the bunnie, horris ran in and despatched the bunnie. next mine made a good flight on a bunnie crashing in the edge just missing his prey, we had a couple of good flights but the wind was against us now, on the way back to the motor i slipped my bird on a bunnie,he got right up to it smacked it right up the arse! the bunnie jumped about 2ft in the air but managed to escape we'll be back out on friday hopefully watch this space well done horris Quote Link to post
