The paying high price fashion dog crowd an horsey crowd are half the problem bedlington x whippet = whipplington =£££

the show crowd are not to interested but now bedlington lurcher classes have become a separate class now there boom but there soon ruin the bedlington base blood if there’s any decent blood in them to begin with like they usually do by keep breeding back to sight hound to turbo charge then  for racing there end up 1/32 bedlington the rest sight hound ??

Thy not so keen on the f1 beddy / grey ? Mind the do tend to get knocked up a. Bit by them nasty foxes and briars etc ? Lol

I don’t see why people get wound up about the price of pet dogs, people can charge/pay whatever they want it doesn’t matter, there’s no working gene pool to be ruined.

Working dogs on the other hand should be gifted to mates & the rest placed in pet homes, that’s my take on it anyway.

Nothing wring with charging a small fee for a working dog mind you if the lad breeding is genuinely too skint to do a litter properly without covering his costs, but anyone profiting off working dogs is part of the problem

Crazy what so called working whippets go for for as well. No they’ve always been a bit of a premium compared to lurcher pup say £300-£500 but I’ve seen a grand plus. Can understand to a very slight extent  though because at least there a pure breed. Never had so much attention with my beddy cross off pet owners who like the look of them. Don’t get the shouts of feed your dog lol with my past smooth coated dogs ?

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
