well charity begins at home an I think it’s a bit shocking trying to make an old man feel shit for accepting help off a decent member who had obviously saw somebody in need an maybe in a position to point him in right way. I’m by no means rick or well off but I’ll gladly stick 50/100 quid or sumat into a kitty, in sure if a months rent an a deposit is paid then a lot of private let’s will take his pension/benefits for the rent?? Think that’s hw it used to work, I don’t know anybody from down that way to ask to help in finding one but I’m sure somebody does,

There’s a massive difference between purposefully trying to make someone feel bad and just telling them the realities of life.......one is to hurt and the other is to help.

Or, he could have kept his dealings with another bloke to himself and nobody would have an opinion about it because nobody would know.

ok lads look if anyone thinks im a sympathy joe then please ,   mods stop this topic now,   right here goes, its not long back I reckon I was a happy go lucky joe couple of dogs, couple of stinkers and a dear wife, then bang, all gone.  meaning, none of us no wots around the bend, and now im a sad old man clutching at straws and yes I suppose to some im begging, but if begging will get me the only thing I want from life now, then I will beg like f**k,  now for gnasher ive been in contact with him and apologised if I seem to be using him, but the fact of the matter is, I am using him if I read his messages to me correct he is allowing me to use him and that to me what makes him a man in my eyes,  I remember when I first took my wife down the doctors she had a small wound on her breast poor lady, I ended up over two years with that breast in my hands enough to drive the hardest man over the edge, but im still here a coward, I did promise I would join her but im still here a coward, buit now, ive got a daughter I just want to be with her,    but my head is all over the place at the moment, im worried now ive used folk, Im sorry, I honestly cant see a way out, iom so tired there u go the ramblings of an old man

Wilf is pretty much on the money regarding what to do.....I worked in a housing shelter...OK I was security. ..but I got to witness  first hand some of the goings on in there....the place I worked was a hostel type place....there was 36 separate flats in there ranging from 1 bed to 4 bed....family's and single folk ended up there when they were waiting to be housed by the council. ..the staff were basically social workers they were there to help folk get on the ladder ...help with everything from finding a place to live....to getting every bit of benefits. ...and very often grants and handouts for furniture  tvs you name it...

Now let me just say...I saw all walk of life from drug and alcohol problem folk to just normal families that had fallen on bad times....I also saw ever nationality. ..

But the one thing that got them the places they wanted was playing the game....you got to lay it on Keith. ..cos I can guarantee that everybody else is

fair enough tomo and thank you, but never ever being in this position before, I didn't no what to do, I just needed some help, its hard at the moment, ive so much to do so much on my mind, you just tend to give up,           thanks

I'm sure he could...it would work out more expensive though..even though he might get housing benefit. ..they don't pay it all..and I think there's now a ceiling limit
