Guts me to see a young chick go down hill when you've seen it fighting fit then gets bullied off the hen. Well not on my watch had him now in the house for 3 days and he's still going strong not out of the woods yet tho. He's just a week old now be happy mid week next week if he makes it I've got high hopes. Any of you guys had to rear any chicks up 3 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

fireman 11,038 Posted June 10, 2020 Report Share Posted June 10, 2020 Iv'e hand reared a chick before and you use parrot rearing food,it's easy to get hold of and if you have the time it's easy enough to hand rear.I did get some funny looks though at a pals wedding as i had the chicks in a nest cage tied around my neck and under my jumper to keep them warm and you do end up with a very tame bird indeed if they make it to adulthood.. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
