There was a Siberian bloke living on the same farm estate and we used to go down to the River Vienne on an evening to spin for catfish. Every one we caught was a couple of pounds either side of 20lb and he ate every one he caught. I put mine back. He called me into the cottage once to see his latest captures. There was one alive in the bath and another one cut into steaks in the fridge.

They just dont look appetizing to me!! Lol

No but I'll bet they're grand once covered in breadcrumbs and fried yum yum. Gurnards don't look like summat you'd fancy but they're lovely too.

2 day drive west to the sea for me

i miss the seaside.
canada is stunning in places but those places are far from me

Gurnard are one of my fave eating fish mate...had a small one this morning...

Most coarse fish arent for me personally...even mullet that have been up.the river too.long arent good... but great from the sea..

Smoked fresh water eel on the other hand is food from the gods!! Lol

Sun, beer and late night trouble now!! Lol

Our friends have done a one off night with the home made pizza van tonight, everything from scratch..I'm not a pizza fan but hes half italian and they are "proper"..

5 are being delivered later, I ain't moving now!! Lol
