I always thought that the term saluki was applied to a myriad of running dog types that were deemed clean by the nomadic dwellers and the bred kinda adhoced it’s way into pedigree status abroad when the soldiers from the Middle East campaigns brought them back . Interesting to see the variety , especially in size and coat
