That's all they are... Bred for looks, and music videos, no sporting ability whatsoever.... Massive money spinner for the plastic prankster gangsters..... Few lads got them in good shape.... But they Don't look so good without the cropped ears...they look like a fat staff/am bulldog x.... Every cnut round here got them... And a frenchie?

After i spoke to the lad i got home and googled them and it was either short, squat little British Bulldog looking monstrosities or completely over conditioned athletic types i did wonder what sport/work they did........so that would be nothing then i presume ?

Well, not being funny but there could be 101 reasons for that mate ?

You only have to flick through the ads on these dog selling websites to see people are exploiting these breeds to top up their dole money.....the structure of any dog isnt going to improve when its so

Why can't folk just be happy with a Staffy, just a silly status symbol that looks shite.

Then all they need is to be muzzled in public..... they don't contain any game bred blood?

Spot on mate, staffs have gone bit simlar more so the KC show stuff, what we had when I was a lad in w-ton were the old type staffs, as we're from 16- 19in 40-55lb, they were more like bulldogs=apbt of today. To be honest I rather get  well bred bulldog, 1st, or a old type staff, or a 1x pit xgrey if wanted a  healthy type bull breed, never in a month of Sundays would I have  them   American Bully bag of shit.!

Yes that's fine ray but not everyone works their dogs I know people who wouldn't want a collie grey or a gsd grey it's horses for courses.

believe it or not mate people do just have dogs as pets. I could show you a video of American bullies an it would put a lot of gsds to shame.

I agree i dont think i could ever own a bull bred dog again i dont think i could ever look a dog in the eye with any kind of respect knowing its just a shadow of its ancestry i remember as kids getting hold of crappy little show bred staffs and slinging them at each other round the back of the garages they would stick to each other for 10 minutes but now lads seem to think one is deeply game if it barks at cats !.....even physically i havent seen a Stafford in years that i thought was pleasing to the eye conformation wise.....i always think regardless whether a dog is for pet, work or bit of both you still like to think you have a good representative that can do what it was designed to do if the opportunity arose.

True mate, my dogs are pets 1st, always have been, and if they catch me dinner as well, I happy with that. Funny thing I was watching Buck run around the other day playing with lab type young bitch, the bloke was really surprised how Buck covered the ground with ease. But the thing I thought was great about his movement, he just seemed to  move on the ground lovley a d smooth, you never see a pure gsd move like him, maybe them. East European gsd might me. Near to him,  but as we said before most gsd show stuff crap, you need a out x  like Buck just to get a healthy type gsd, it sad really how the breed been. Fooked up, the gsd in the 60s were 100% better dogs.

That's you mate i f memory serves me right you were involved with real bulldogs so you have a certain standard but Carol and Mick down the road don't care if the dog can do 2 hours in the box it's just a pet

Then why choose a breed of dog with a tendency to start fights with other dogs if they just want a pet dog ?....theres literally hundreds of breeds to choose from.

People's preference like you say all the breeds are watered down compared to their ancestors.

Black and tan staffs are not uncommon mate. My mate, sadly passed away about four years ago of cancer, used to breed and show staffs. He had a couple of black and tans, absolute belters, in a couple of litters he bred.

You're right, the kc don't like em. Nuts really, cos some of em are superb dogs

A good dog was never a wrong colour.

The kc has destroyed working dogs.
