It was great to get back on the water last night, caught a few Pollack and took 3 home, a couple of fillets went in a curry delivery 4 fillets to my parents today.

Best one I've had on the kayak..over 10lb...it went back alive, West Coast of Scotland...and on a soft plastic, was hell of a fight on real light gear!

Yeah we're all good thank you mate..   Yes you are right, you should suit the kayak to the size of man ..we had little choice unfortunately for you...lol

Im not into fishing at all but i could certainly see the appeal to that......looks like a tranquil day for a tasty evening.

I think a lot of people see the matchmen on the local cut and think that's the norm for fishing, I've fished all over UK and plenty trips abroad and it's always been about getting into the wilds and taking all the nature in I've seen some amazing things fishing over the years no better excuse for getting out camping in nature imo. And all the better on a boat, all your stresses melt away the second your afloat in my experience, mainly cos your so busy making sure you don't kark it?  but also just how peaceful and close to nature it brings you. And sometimes some nice jackbit to bring home.fresh BBQ bass I can almost taste it now, that little bit of flesh in the cheek is the best mouthful of food you'll ever eat.

Using small feathers, trying to catch launce for bait...but had half a dozen Pollack instead...

Finally caught 1 launce as the sun was going down so it's in the freezer for next time..lol

It's a nice way to get around the coast a bit mate, you tend to see more than if you are flying along on a boat, I try and do 3 or 4 miles each trip at least, good fitness and a fish or 2 for tea...

You ever dive for scallops mate?

I dont mate...

But have a few friends who do,

We sold a rib to one of the local free divers, competed at a high level, we would get sack fills of scallops every couple of weeks ..I didnt think I'd tire of eating them but I did..lol
