Recommended Posts

I see a Australian thing on utube not so long ago there’s a lab there that manufactures The viruses to kill the rabbits It’s for sale there constantly changing the strain so it has a high impact on rabbit populations I don’t think it has nothing to do with China there’d be happy for numbers for meat

I’m sure they were saying as well how they release it is via fleas but once a area is infected it can be spread by just humans standing in there piss Am crossing the contamination to other areas

it's hard to know what the true numbers are. often people say I have seen loads of rabbits, in reality there is only a few, Joe public will see 6 rabbits on a field and call it a plague. I took a trip to the coast last Thursday though Lincolnshire, saw 4 young rabbits and nothing knocked over. this trip years ago would have seen scores of rabbits on grass verges plus a lot run over. we live in hope?

I don't know how many times I've driven hundreds of K's because land owners have a "plague" and only found two or three rabbits on the whole place.

Fingers crossed numbers are climbing again, 2017-18 was a right off round me. On permission, I can only get it for the odd but of ferreting and I long ago stopped asking about lamping, farmers suffer a lot of damage from vehicles out hare coursing and wind each other up over how much they hate lurchers. Good news is that only once has someone said no to bringing the dog along ferreting ?. Main issue I face is competition with night shooters, they often claim incredible numbers of rabbits to farmers without evidence and a genuine typical lineup of rabbits from a morning out ferreting doesn't sound as good as BS.

Look at the date of above post I used to ferret with an old boy Near me if you didn't get fifty you had a bad day it was Ron  Haslams brother the bike racer I've seen grounds wiped out with this disease I see it still and now on lands north of me ? Myxi was never a worry this is when you go to land that had loads of bunny's and now there isn't a Warren open it speaks volumes.

They don't want us feeding ourselves is the only excuse I can think of and I stand by that view ?
