Back to work

Recommended Posts

We've pretty much worked the whole way through it. We didn't get hand sanitizer until April. Masks until beginning of this month and we received sanitizing wipes yesterday morning.

We're going through a lot of hand sanitizer as we don't have access to soap and running water for most of the day. The wipes are handy if anyone handles any of our tech. Masks I've found to be a complete waste of time and generally more of a hindrance than a help. They're soiled as soon as you mess with them and we've had triple digit temperatures this last week.

We've got the same instructions as you lads by the sounds of it but following them is near impossible. I'm sticking with keeping my distance and washing my hands.

Luckily outside all day every day .Had to smile today when I went to pick up a gate post from a timber yard .Bloke comes to the gate with a mask ,visor and AI plastic gauntlets  on lol. AI gauntlets for anyone not knowing are elbow length .He came to the gate and fiddled with the key which he couldn’t seperate from the rest so took his gloves off to do that .Visor came off too as it was steaming up .His mask was soaking wet with sweat and breath .

I steeped well back and another clad bloke brought the post to the gate which he hands to me .His glove got caught on a splinter and I ended up with that as well lol.OTT sprang to mind .

Realistically social distancing just aint going to happen in your average work place. I am furloughed at the moment and my bosses are on the ball but when the time comes I doubt it will last.
After a life time and then suddenly having to change in a busy moment your just going to drift into old habits.  This thing in northern ireland where they are going to allow 6 house holds to mingle. Who the hell is going to keep count and abide by that. Once you give a bit of rein that's it folks will do what they want

It's not 6 households .. it's upto 6 people from 2 different households ..

They've been doing what they want over here already should see the videos circulating on social media
