With all that string, a £12 bucket of barbed wire would have been cheaper. Bet the missus wouldn't like that in your jean pockets. Edited June 16, 2020 by Alsone 1 Quote Link to post

FOXHUNTER 5,021
Just nipped up the shoot for a couple of hours to see if we could catch any roach in the quarry. Unfortunately the fish weren't biting but I managed to catch a frog. Mates little lad was fascinated... 6 Quote Link to post

Good news though as the resident barn owls have finally nested in the owl box , hope I catch a glimpse of the youngsters when they fledge. 4 Quote Link to post
Stavross 15,959
That’s a task I keep putting off, not much gorse but some thick patches of small trees and bushes and I need to cut a few rides through a couple of plantation blocks because you can’t get through with all the dead lower branches, I can’t wait 1 Quote Link to post
FOXHUNTER 5,021
There was only 2 of us this morning but we got quite a bit done. Great to see the sun getting through once the gorse is cut back , just need to put some feeders in now and jobs a good un. Quote Link to post
shovel leaner 7,650
Sat up a high seat at the moment, knocking some more tree rats over with the 22 . I’ve had five so far . Just been sorting out the water in the main pen . I’ve been running acid through the pipes to clean them out and I’ve got an hour or so to kill before lunch. Nice weather and I can almost see the maize growing after that rain . Life’s good . 5 Quote Link to post
shovel leaner 7,650
Well I finished the session with 9 . When I gathered them up I looked at my bare arm and felt something moving on my skin , and noticed my arm covered in fleas . I’m now itching on my legs and arms , and I’m bitten to f@ck I just got home and my Mrs wants to treat me with Frontline!!! Cheek of it !! 6 Quote Link to post

bumpy22 414
We had sixteen of our shoot on one feeder over the weekend. Seems loads here. The bait station with peanuts work a treat 2 Quote Link to post
shovel leaner 7,650
I reckon we are overrun with them this year . I’ve had a few sessions on them over feeders and it drags them in from far and wide . Top a feeder up , give it a week and sit there and shoot away. 2 Quote Link to post

bumpy22 414
Knocked up another feeder at the weekend. Made out of old deck boards seem to work well best thing is cost nothing. Have them in all the woods on shoot. Edited June 23, 2020 by bumpy22 6 Quote Link to post
