Stavross 16,164
Getting to the shoot this morning and finding it clear was a bit of a shock considering what I drove through to get there, it was late morning before the snow started, only lightly to begin with, but it wasn’t long before things started to turn white. Well we knocked it on the head early today, the birds were sitting very tight you could almost stand on them before they moved. We still got a bit of shooting but once the snow started coming down heavy they would not fly, one bird broke cover, got up into the snow and couldn’t fly in it, hit a couple of trees and helicoptered back to the ground, with the snow coming down as heavy as it was it was time to get off home as it’s very easy to get stuck up there in the snow 3 Quote Link to post

The roads were really bad on the way back, the A19 was down to one lane Quote Link to post

Stavross 16,164
There was a couple of abandoned cars, when I came down off the top the snow was getting deep, yet there was still a load of people at the top of Sutton bank playing in the snow, I bet there’s a few can’t get the cars off the top tonight Quote Link to post

Sausagedog 7,381
Went squirreling today and ended up with a fox barking in thick cover not 50yds away! Never did see it but I hung around for hours watching a snow covered field with the occasional squeal. Just owls and hares as dark fell. 6 Quote Link to post
FOXHUNTER 5,021
I went out squirrelling too again didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Snow all gone and a decent day with a few hail showers. Finished with 12 only missing 1 so not too shabby. One squirrel ran into a hole in the tree but was peeping out thinking I couldn't see it ,it soon got no 6 shot in the face 7 Quote Link to post
