I know you guys snare fox and rabbits but was curious is y'all snare mink any ? It's become a bit more popular of here in recent years, talked to some who say they prefer it to connies or footholds because it's quicker and lighter.  I could post some pictures of some various systems guys use over here if anyone is curious . But anyhow wanted to know if any of y'all did it or if it's ever been a thing with you guys.

Thanks !

From eveyone I've talked to it's not the hardest thing to do it's just you need to have your snare set up properly because mink apparently will work a snare like crazy so swiveling it's important. And their fast too so you need t good fast loaded one at that. My friends in Louisiana say it's the same with snaring otter

That a a wonderfully loaded snare you have there ! What size cable and lock are you using ?

I mainly use 1/16th cable. I've used 1/64th in the past, which has a nice low profile, but not as strong as the 1/16th. I've never had a mink get out of or twist off either type snare. Lock wise, I'm using Lo Pro locks. I like them a lot. Very fast lock. We can only use relaxing locks here, so limited to what we can use.
