KaliTheCross 0
I have a new dog she’s a presa canario x and I’m wondering if she looks like she has lurcher in her. She’s 6 months old. 24kg and 22inches at the withers.
shovel leaner 7,650
Hi there , hope you are enjoying your new dog . In answer to your question, I don’t want to get into semantics but a Lurcher is a “type” , it’s what you get if you cross a running dog like a greyhound or whippet with another breed , say for example a collie . The pups such a mating produce would be referred to as Lurcher’s. Looking at the photos I can see that it is very narrow in the head and chest and has a deep chest and narrow waist . So the possible mating could be With a greyhound or greyhound cross . Which would in fact make your dog a “Lurcher” of sorts . But unless you were present at the mating or you know the breeder and trust them the best way to get an idea would be a DNA test . Or you could forget about it and just enjoy the dog for whatever it is . All the best
Born Hunter 17,751
Got a bit of a racey look to it for sure. Whatever it is, if you get it hard and trim at 20 months it'll look fantastic imo. Real purposeful looking animal.

She looks athletically fit nice stamp of a dog she's got a good old saddle on her nice hind quarters trust me that dog will run. Just don't rush her another 12 months of playing in her yet odd rabbit thrown down for her to knock about in about 6 months time not to run just to throw about. Get that pray drive in her to come out atb mate an welcome to the forum.
