Help needed to chrono a rifle

I should say that over distance then yes the heavey pellet does hold its energy but not at the barrel, and that why lighter pellets could put you over the 12lfb

Right I’ve tried different pellets and cleaning the barrel no difference put I’ve managed to adjust the power myself here’s the results

Sorry mate but heavy pellets give you more ftlbs in pcp normally . That is why tuners test with 10.3 gr in .177 and 16 gr .22

That's more like it, what did the heavier pellets give you. The average on that 600.7 fps at 11.7 flb

No real difference in the heavier pellets to be honest but they weren’t a lot heavier

Heavier pellets have ALWAYS increased the fpe when ever i have used them in sub 12 rifles. It is not uncommon for Daystate rifles to be low on power but for GOD'S sake, do not sent it to Daystate to have the issue looked at because they will not fix the problem and charge you plenty.  

You have some good guys in your neck of the woods such as our Jimmy, or better known as bigmac97 who may be able to point you in the right direction or send the gun to Ratworks tuning house in Leicester who did a great job on a couple of Daystates for members on here.

Never heard of lighter pellets putting any rifle over the 12fpe limit and in that case why do police test sites keep heavy pellets to carry out checks if an owner doesn't supply their own ???

I alway use Paul Sewell to service my guns he does a top job at a fair price out at the minute and it’s shooting a lot better I’ll put pictures up when I am finished thanks for the info

Never seen a lighter pellet put you  over 12 ftlbs either Phil , Evan at FAC level heavier pellet give you more ftlbs

Those figures might put you over with a different pellet. You need to try different pellets

Not a lot heavier they were jsb exact jumbos just been out there and she’s back right 15 rabbits here then another 10 picked from the next few fields phone died so no end pic all pest control on horse fields

some weight written out and about for bisley mags are wrong they state a too higher value . also a tighter pellet in the barrel will give different reading its not just weight .

So in theory you could have your rifle at say 11.3flb with your favourite all round pellet and change the pellet for some reason and be over the legal. There are a lot of diffrent pellets on the market varying in weight and how they are made

Police would check with every pellet available to see if it goes over  . 8.44 you should have that running @ 11.3 ish same with 13-14 gr pellet in .22 .

like I said airgun tuners normally set PCP guns up with a heavy pellet , something like JSB 10.3 gr in.177 and AA field 15.9 in .22
