vfr400boy 3,369 Posted May 9, 2020 Report Share Posted May 9, 2020 So getting a few lambs at end of month to grow on for me freezer Was looking for a small trailer to move um in and even a crappy old one was £550 and £1000 for a new one so I am trying to make a lift off top for my 6x4 trailer so far its cost me £30 I will need some 3x1 timber for the sides and 2 sheets of 1mm tin for the roof ( my cozen has bent me some bar to make the top curved Iv never welded before but think am slowly getting better at it dont think the sheep will complain ha Anyone got any tips on welding it's an old mig I got of my mate when his dad passed away Quote Link to post Share on other sites

ZacB 114 Posted May 10, 2020 Report Share Posted May 10, 2020 Don’t want to sound boring and certainly not into ‘Elf & Safety’ but some abattoirs won’t accept stock around here unless trailer is fit for purpose ie gates at back etc. Might be worth just checking with your local abattoir to ensure they’re relaxed & not up their own bureaucratic arsehole, save you a wasted journey Quote Link to post Share on other sites
