Daniel cain 45,558
I used to run a bitch... 3/8 5/8 bull grey x beddy/grey,only 23tts,run all day/night at anything you showed her, longnets, working with bops, around a hole, on the hill with the hounds, I'd have another in a heartbeat, the best all round runner I've ever owned, never had a litter out of here till she was gone 9/10 and lost them all bar 2 pups 4 Quote Link to post

Daniel cain 45,558
Lad on here from Essex way had the dog, gives him plenty of sport,I believe, the bitch I kept for myself I gave to farmer friends, we keep Mrs horse at their farm, I planned to take a litter from the bitch, but she ended up being spayed after catching an infectionthat's why I went and got the bitch I have now....i have no plans to breed my wheaton bitch, but have thought about using the dog from my old bitch...... Maybe when I need another dog... Never say never, as you don't know what's around the corner Bitch pup from my old bitch at 5/6 months old she made 27tts... Pup is beddy/bull/grey x wheaton bull /saluki/grey/foxhound, sounds a heavy mix but dogs can shift tbf... I don't have the work for another runner at the minute, maybe in a few yrs when the family is grown up abit, I look at getting another. This wheaton won't see a fraction of the graft my previous dogs have.... Times have changed, she does me for what I use her for when I get out... Enjoying our walks with the catty and we have a spin when stuffs aboutgood luck tank, I think you will be happy with this cross 5 Quote Link to post

Especially over the Internet they feel it’ll damage there lurcher world credibility as a dog man an continue having a number of dogs even though they ain’t got enough work to go round to warrant them all as workers! 3 Quote Link to post
Marvel 469
There were some beddie/greyxbull/greys about my way a while ago, very handy animals, never took a backward step when it came to vermin, were a bit on the small side for me 22/23ins surprised there not more popular ATB. Quote Link to post

Bet there was a few about at one point when bedlington x Lurchers were used more as a vermin dog before the bull x craze but I think it’s that people just say if it’s a smooth cross it’s a bull x it simplifies thinks but if rough they’d just say beddy lurcher I think bedlington bull x would a very handy cross if I was only aiming at one target this would be more than likely be my weapon of choice Quote Link to post
