Yeah they do mate but it’s up to them with there opinion it don’t mean it’s right or wrong but I think it’s all personal preference for individual needs  in my instance I can’t an won’t have a dog bred for every Different quarry out there it wouldn’t work out economical to me personally to keep so many different dogs for different jobs giving it the horse’s for courses routine plus all the time you’d have to put in to them dogs plus cost keep them and to give them work I’d rather 1 or 2 dogs of that type to keep ticking over an keep them well. In my eyes one type a trier of all master of none keeps it easy I get what your saying fully though some people I think a lot has to do with the Internet world of people promoting the cross they keep as the true type for that set quarry they hunt some people are ashamed of being called just rabbit men over the Internet they don’t wanna come across as inferior dog men that’s why I think. but it’s nothing at all to be ashamed of at all ??In my eyes Here is a example a man buys a runner with a bit of just bull base blood in it his game is rabbit this dog is not used as a foxer but catches rabbits well imagine the amount of shit that guy would get from the foxing fraternity for using bull blood as a rabbiter this guy is happy with his dog his dog does what he wants an does the job he needs well......here’s the question who’s in the wrong is it the guy using the bull x as a rabbiting dog or the man giving him the shit for doing so if the dog makes the owner of the dog happy an does the job? I think everyone is in title to a opinion though

Good post that mate. I knew a fella once that was madly into working fox on the lamp with his dogs. He couldn't stand bull x dogs at all. He had a pair,  brother and sister, of collie/greyhound x whippet/greyound x greyhound. Lethal on foxes and good on deer

Dont slip till it runs. if its squatting keep her on slip and walk on it till it bolts then slip

I couldn’t keep a dog that picks and chooses its runs no way, or pisses about at cover. Any cross of lurcher when they pull up it’s lack of heart but when a collie cross does it then it’s too clever ?

100% whether someone walks round back of there house or does a couple hundred miles to test there dogs i think aslong as you honest and dont breed f**k out of a load of dogs fair play to ya. I get mor

Anyone can have whatever breed of dog they want and use it for whatever they want. There’s no contract or set of rules you need to sign up to when you get your first running dog.

Exactly that mate ???

All the men that tell people what they need to be doing with their own dogs, I’d love to see the photo album of pictures what theyre catching every season cause 9 times out of 10 times it won’t be what you think

Cheers fella ?? If it works it works mate there’s no denying If it’s doing the jobs the guy got them for. Bull or saluki is my not go to crosses I’ve no personal issues with them crosses there just not for me personally as I favour the more traditional stuff like a bit of collie blood  a lot of good beddy blood an abit of deerhound to greyhounds I’m less inclined to want whippet blood in my dog’s anymore

Hear it all the time this dog gets ran 7 days a week but for me walking the fields round the back of your house with a handheld LED & running a couple of rabbits or a hare doesn’t count as going out, it’s just walking your dog with a torch. I’ll do 2 good trips a week with a dog and it’s glad for a couple of days rest in between when it’s been ran right

Nowt wrong with a bit o whippet in bunny busters mate ??Tbh If my game was just rabbit an I need a small dog for hunting them a working whippet dog would be choice of execution I’d rather a straight whippet than a whippet lurcher id never touch a beddy whippet again as it don’t suit my lands no more
