I’ve got a collie bedlington hybrid here that don’t get involved with retrieveing shot in my eyes that’s lack of heart an a complete fanny! An no it don’t mean there clever it means there a coward an not to be bred from to continue lines on

I had a saluki greyhound bull greyhound she used to stalk on the lamp so after talking to one of the lads he said when she stalks slip your other dog hissing it on when slipped it only took a couple of slips as soon as the other bitch went past she forgot about the stalk and it was a race to the rabbit after that if she stalked I hissed and she was off thinking the other bitch was going to take her rabbit

I tend to upset a lot of people sadly in this game but that’s never my intention to upset people i lay all cards on the table an give a honest opinion that’s all it is collie an bedlington fan boys are temperamental as f**k they are the worst they won’t let you give a honest opinion how you see the cross even if your running these crosses because they like you to bum these crosses up I even openly grade my own dogs honesty always comes first I look at it like this if you can’t be honest with people you can’t be honest with your self you end up kidding your self an the dog becomes a lie  
ive never been one for getting rid of dogs I have a mental contract in my head with the pup I pick but if I had a dog that would run an stop dead an watch gear disappear in to the distance there will be a in my head termination of invisible contact an the dogs home is nil an voided if it was on rabbits

a lot of people seem to judge dogs these days on weather they take fox, I don't get it, to me if I wanted to catch foxes  I would get a  dog bred that way and take rabbits with that, owt can catch lamped rabbits even mine lol, it is defo the collie causing the problem in the op, I have seen lots do it and lads just accept it as normal.

Yeah they do mate but it’s up to them with there opinion it don’t mean it’s right or wrong but I think it’s all personal preference for individual needs  in my instance I can’t an won’t have a dog bred for every Different quarry out there it wouldn’t work out economical to me personally to keep so many different dogs for different jobs giving it the horse’s for courses routine plus all the time you’d have to put in to them dogs plus cost keep them and to give them work I’d rather 1 or 2 dogs of that type to keep ticking over an keep them well. In my eyes one type a trier of all master of none keeps it easy I get what your saying fully though some people I think a lot has to do with the Internet world of people promoting the cross they keep as the true type for that set quarry they hunt some people are ashamed of being called just rabbit men over the Internet they don’t wanna come across as inferior dog men that’s why I think. but it’s nothing at all to be ashamed of at all In my eyes Here is a example a man buys a runner with a bit of just bull base blood in it his game is rabbit this dog is not used as a foxer but catches rabbits well imagine the amount of shit that guy would get from the foxing fraternity for using bull blood as a rabbiter this guy is happy with his dog his dog does what he wants an does the job he needs well......here’s the question who’s in the wrong is it the guy using the bull x as a rabbiting dog or the man giving him the shit for doing so if the dog makes the owner of the dog happy an does the job? I think everyone is in title to a opinion though

Anyone can have whatever breed of dog they want and use it for whatever they want. There’s no contract or set of rules you need to sign up to when you get your first running dog.
