Meece 1,957
Some on our cul de sac had a bit of a sit out and a piss up this afternoon. They kept there distance so what's the problem with that. Anyway most of them are Muppets so if a few get culled that won't be so bad. RIGHT... It is bad that so many innocent victims have fallen by the wayside but for every looser there are winners. It is what it is. There is something in the region of sixty six and a half million people in the UK so how many could fall before the country would be damaged.? On the other hand the governor of the bank of England has said that the recession will be twice as bad as the recession of 2007. So if we get a lift it certainly will not be to ease the mental problems of the weak minded. Somewhere the money men will be toiling their brains to work the angles to make loads money. What you got to lòok at is history's events after the great depresion of the 30s you got to look at who and what got up on their feet the quickest. Perhaps I'm being a bit negative but when all the bolocks speke is done it will all pass. Whether it was the black death. The religious purges the wars, the Spanish flue, life like nature will find the path of least resistance.

DIDO.1 22,581
Yesterday I drove back from a job along the edge of the pennines, all the car parks were blocked off so cars had simply parked all along the verges. Hundreds of them. Groups walking off over the fields with dogs and bbqs. Big gangs of lads on bikes, obviously not from the same household. All riding along in each others slipstream huffing and puffing. The guidelines are clear. Go out once for exercise or essential food and medicine. Yet go to the shops and people are just browsing and buying bits and pieces. Saw 2 garden centres open yesterday. Lockdown hasn't been followed in any way really. Then you can listen to the news and hear journalists blaming it all on the government. The same journalists will slag of the government for being to strict and turning Britain in to an authoritarian state with no exit strategy then in the next breath they will slag em off for not locking down sooner and more strictly It's all the governments fault, apparently, according to my neighbours who were holding a big northern soul party in the street last night

Obviously not the virus, but the lack of control afterwards. The instructions haven't been clear, they have been left open to opinion. They say work from home they say construction should continue. If you look on HSE website the opening lines are something like "your business should continue" and that is ALL businesses not just construction. Then they allow garden McDonald's, KFC, BnQ to open? Which one of them are essential therefore you could be in compliance with guidelines by going there??? Enforcement is at police discretion. So when I get pulled now and say I'm off to BnQ and guna grab a Mcds drive through on way home how could they do anything? It's all bollox, has never been a lockdown, they have simply tried to make it sound that way. There should have been a proper lock down, no grey areas. I still think there should be aswell. Until there is a vaccine this will be a problem. My kids won't be going back to school even if they do open. Not letting them be part of the guinie pig trial to see what happens.

But the one week we're they did try to be tough they got absolutely slated for it. British people do not respond to being ordered about. Your business should open if you can't shut or work from home. It's sad that we as a nation can't be trusted to use common sense

But according to political people over here if your business isn't on the list of ones that have to close it can stay open as long as social distancing is applied ..
