I just think it's strange that if you're trying to find out who you are you would hide your name, each to their own I guess.

If you don't think every family hasn't got a few skeletons in their closet you would be mistaken.

I was surprised at the percentage of Irish/Scottish in my results.

Saying that my mother's maiden name is Hayes, isn't that Irish?

Yes hayes is an Irish name.

What a lot of people forget is that Ireland and Britain are a lot alike in terms of genetics and blood lines. Why wouldn't we be, been so close to each other all this time. Trading, and Waring with each other before B.C.

It's easy mate... Just pull a tooth, one of the back ones so you don't look silly, then post it to these guys https://www.ancestry.co.uk/

I swear if they ever find a black Viking y'all will never hear the end of it from me ??

That can’t be right because Max clearly said that Henry VIII had the Tudor version of Jimmy Hendrix playing at his wedding and traitors gate was the start of the Nottinghill Carnival ?

Didn't someone trace you from one social media account to another and then your missus etc? Just because someone might want to know who they are dont mean they want everyone to know eh.

Each to their own, I ain't arsed what other people want to do.

Not too dissimilar from mine apart from more Irish/Scottish influence in me.

From what I've read this is only an estimate and each individual has different DNA markers and that goes for siblings.

So for instance say there was African or Asian in your ancestry somewhere it's not a given that it shows up in your test but it could show up on your brother or sisters test?

Born will correct me but I'm guessing which parent you take after will have a big bearing on what your genetic make-up results will be?

For instance I look more like my mother so my results will have more of a bearing on her side whereas my brother looks more like my father so his results would show up more on what happened on my father's side?

See this is what I mean about accuracy. As their database increases in size the results change. There's no dramatic changes (sudden appearance of far flung ethnicities) for me because all the ethnicities are pretty similar anyway so there's a lot of crossover which leads to error. The more data they get the more accurate the result, in theory.

As you can see, I'm destined for Valhalla. Probably a descendant of Ragnar...
