Strange that as my mother’s name can also be traced back to that era and roughly translates into “ son of the Northman” from Viking settlers into Ireland.

Probably explains why I am an absolute machine on the field of battle.

Wonder if it’s the same name

If you were a machine you’d be a trike......with one wheel missing !

It's easy mate... Just pull a tooth, one of the back ones so you don't look silly, then post it to these guys https://www.ancestry.co.uk/

I swear if they ever find a black Viking y'all will never hear the end of it from me ??

That can’t be right because Max clearly said that Henry VIII had the Tudor version of Jimmy Hendrix playing at his wedding and traitors gate was the start of the Nottinghill Carnival ?

Sorry mate, missed this. Mine was with ancestry. Cost about £100 I think.

Do you get figures on how many samples they have profiled, they're only as good as their sample size surely?

According to their site they have 15 million people on their database (I expect that is customers rather than ethnic standards) and they sample your genome in over 700'000 locations.

I don't know how accurate that makes it though. Mine seems very believable based on what I know of my families traced history and the history of the region we're from.

I've just ordered a kit for £89 including delivery. I swear my Dads side has Gypsy in them, let's see what the results are. ?

If that's the case it would come back with Asia as they travelled from southern India I believe....

That's if it actually does show up. I'm not being fully serious about this but we joke about it, the dark skin and nose is the give away. Luckily I don't take after that side. These tests do have their limitations.

Specific villages.

My results came back.

And it told me what time my ancestors went to bed.

And what time they shit every day.

And it even said that 1 of my ancestors cut his finger chopping wood.

It's very accurate..
