whitefeet4190 1,725
I've just hatched 1 chick out of 7 the other chicks were fully formed in the shell so I've come to the conclusion that the humidity was too high, what do u set ur at from day 1-18 then for last 3 days?? ellir0305 9
I just hatched a batch about 3 weeks ago using a brinsea mini eco, and old one, it packed up 3 times in the last few days thanks to a dodgy solder joint and temp and humidity were all over the place still got 5/6. With that there is no humidity percentage control just half or full water pot in the middle. If one hatched it might not have been your humidity but the temp too low throughout if the rest were fully formed they might have just been late. How long over the 21 days did you wait before calling it?
Dan Arnold 1
45% - 50% humidity first 18-19 days. 65% during hatching 37.5 degrees c throughout

ellir0305 9
Sounds like the temp might be a bit low if the first didn't hatch until day 23, did any others pip? The thermometer/ stat might be a bit off might be worth checking it against another known good one. Where are you taking the temp reading (if its still air, forced air shouldn't matter)? I used this little book as my guide, pretty simple but loads of good info. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Incubation-Hatching-Rearing-Katie-Thear/dp/090613725X
whitefeet4190 1,725
Yer I got some cobb eggs, £32 for 12 and I think I've had my pants pulled down as it doesn't look if any are fertile but will see, they are on day 15 today
