They were v6 twin turbo, Mitsubishi responded with the 3000gt or gto but they never really took off like the skyline and galant, the japs knew a thing or 10 about making turbo cars from the late 80s through to the millennia, 90s was their golden era in my mind

Smashing little clip that....at 5.47 where the bonnet flies off that actually happened to me years ago muckin about down the Southend Rd in a mk2 Mexico the bonnet didnt come off but flipped up where i couldnt see a thing at about 80mph just as well it was a straight road......the induction noise of them twin 40,s i can still hear it now what a beautiful sound.

My nephew used to drag me up to Santa Pod for the JapFest it was always a good day out......we,d come out all fired up driving back down the M1 like f****n lunatics.....prats ! ?

Did they not used to f**k about with the ratios of gearboxes so they only had 2 gears on an oval track.....or have i dreamed that up from somewhere.
