DANPOV18 16
Hello, I'm new to slingshots, the bands I got with my slingshot just broke and I want some new ones for hunting. I think I'm going to buy gzk but I don't know what type or what thickness. I original bought 12mm steel balls for my slingshot but I only got 50 to test the waters. What band thickness, band type and ammo size do you for your slingshots? I have a Simpleshot Scout LT.

Mr Wilkes 2,980
Atm I’m shooting a light ( for me) set up which consists of 0.60mm sumeike band cut at 20/15 and 8.5mm steel. Any 0.60mm will punch out 8.5-9.5mm steel no problem.
Shortstraw 476
I’ve got a scout Lt and I use precision pink/ red colour bands at the moment, think it’s either .60/65, 25-20mm. I’m shooting 9.5 balls. I found the precision to last better than the gzk bands....just my opinion. The gzk ( which were at the time ready made bought bands) always went prematurely near to the pouch. Edited April 24, 2020 by Shortstraw
carlstoke 34
Precise red/pink .70 25/20 for 9mm lead 23/18 9.5 steel, precise is a stiffer draw than gzk like for like in thickness but definitely lasts a lot longer, not tried the newer gen3 precise yet though. Devon Minnow 152
Long time since I used flat bands, I prefer tubes Orange dub dub for 12mms steel. But when I did use flats 0.76 precise cut 25/20 or double there band gold cut 25/20 or 20/
