jasper65 6
Just a few pictures to wet the appertites of lads flying Finn males this year! these are decent size finn males bred in the last few years, all the birds in the pictures have topped the 2lb mark at 10 weeks or just a tad less but fill out a few more ounces too.... The top one is a mate with his taking game birds at 1lb 13 and the second from bottom was me in around 94 with a Finn male bred by Bob Haddon which was a real lump, this bird averaged the size of a german female Good Hawking Jasper Quote Link to post

terrys 0
Hello Mate I have been flying gosses for years and have a juv finish x russian imprint male now. Like ya birds and i was just interested in the hooding of them. Is that hooded young bird in your pics an imprint ? I am very intereted in the hooding of gosses as I now how it upsets them when manning. Also I am looking for a parent reared mature finish male for breeding if you now any one that has one ? Perhaps we can can speak some time. Regards Tel Quote Link to post

I hood everything I take up, the Imprints I have here are for breeding but I can't bring myself to fly a Imprint as I much prefer P/R birds! I know alot of the so called 20th century Facloners prefer Imprints but I'm old school and enjoy the old techniques of taking up a P/R bird, Hooding it, Manning is and obviousley getting out trainning and finally hunting quarry with it .... I advertised a 3 years old finn male on here before xmas for Andy Reeve! it was a P/R Gary Almeida finn male which is now finally going this weekend, another lad has expressed alot of Interest in it off the forum incase this other guy doesn't make this weekend deadline... Pm me if you wish Terry Jasper Quote Link to post

ATB Nice one mate , they're a cracking peice of kit.... Jasper Hello mate, I'm heading up north on the 25th for a day out hunting with a Goldie on the 26th and then with Lee and his imprint Gos on the 27th, should be a good weekend, will sort out some pics...hopefully. Haven't seen a Goldie fly since I was a nipper, we used to ferret rabbits for a guy in the Welsh that had one, really looking forward to it, can't imagine what it's like to carry a bird around that flies at 7lb 4oz tho ATB Quote Link to post
