Good and bad in all walks of life, problem is I've met many, many more bad than good travellers.

OK, then forget the TV for sec,  if gypsies  live on estate, pay the  the things like say, on the above, like all tax payers pay, keep the site, clean. I say it again mate if they conform to society like most of us do, there be no prob, but they don't and actually back in 1960 when I was young lad growing up in W-ton, there was some rough/ dirty buggers on our council estate, prob only 1 level above them,  but they payed they way= taxes, etc, and kept there homes/outside reasonable.  You always had few travelers  come a d go, I seen back then what they were like  at 1st hand, so I do know. But I will go with you that, TV programs like to shock!

Irish travelers are a pain in the ass in my eyes stealing on to land they don’t mind cutting locks off gates or using mini diggers to push bolards down plus shitting all over the place an leaving there rubbish for everyone else to clean up there rob of you if they can spin a profit off your misfortunes an are a law up on to there selfs I’ve not got no time for them at all but they bring it on there selfs how they act an always play the victim but English Romany gypsys all day long I’ve found them completely different clean an respectful an a good laugh to be around

We lived near an English travellers site and we got on well with the people on there, and i have to say it's probably the safest place we have ever lived at.

I have to say mate, this is the vast majority of people’s REAL gripe.....it’s not that a traveller has ever done anything directly to them, it’s that they may or may not choose not to get bent over and f****d in the arse by government.

And it’s a pretty small minded attitude to say “well, I’m being hurt so I want them hurt too”

Fact is, if every traveller who was keeping a bit hidden started paying the tax on it tomorrow you wouldn’t get one penny back off your own taxes, you’d just have the comfort of knowing someone else was getting a kicking and for blokes like me, I’m afraid that’s no comfort at all.

More power to their elbow I say, good luck to them, don’t affect my life and I don’t feel bitter about these things.......governments wasting more on f***ing paper clips every year

I don't agree with you on that. Taxes pay for everything in society education, GP surgeries, hospitals etc, police, defence etc. Now if travellers or anyone else that doesn't pay taxes didn't benefit from anything taxes pay for then fine they would have a case for not paying in. However that isn't the case, all of society benefits from the services that tax pays for.

The fact of the matter is, to say that anyone never mind travellers gets away with paying no tax is total bollocks.....everyone is paying huge amounts all the time.

Every time someone buys anything the government is taking a chunk, what’s fuel?.......£0.80p tax a litre ? Something like that.

To say anyone don’t pay is nonsense, everyone pays all the time.

Your tax,s also pay 800 dirty old c**ts £300 a day to sit in the House of Lords, that’s not to achieve anything it’s an attendance fee, politicians are all living in absolute luxury at your expense but still need to fiddle there expense accounts to get more, not seeing this being rammed down your face on tv or you moaning it’s so unfair and they should all contribute, your having your pants pulled down and your arse fingered while the bloke doing it is telling you it’s someone else’s fault and you believe him, wake up ffs

Tell you what, I’ll come round your house and do a job, I’ll charge you 5 times more than the jobs worth but don’t worry because I will pay myself a wage, plus any of my expenses, a second home and all my meals then with the excess I’ll give a load away to India, Africa, gay rights and a lesbian outreach centre.....5% of it I’ll chuck in a fund in case you get sick.

Ill also borrow 100 times that amount and put your name down as the bloke that’s paying it back but fear not, because if you find yourself in a spot I’ll give you £100 a week after 10 weeks and 4000 bits of paper you have to fill out.

But again, don’t worry, because if you can’t pay me back when you get on your feet......I have signed your kids and grandkids up for that debt too and borrowed a heap more money on the strength of it for good measure.

Oh, and I helped myself to a new house, 100,000 a year and all my expenses....hope you didn’t mind?

None of which is anything to do with travellers not paying taxes or NI. All the above is politics, if you don't like it change it, stand for parliament or lobby your MP etc. Everything in society needs paying for roads, street lighting, everything,. It is impossible to live in this country and not benefit from what tax has paid for, so everyone should pay tax.

Council tax certainly pays for the services i have quoted.
