“Like real farmers!” As my boy would say ?

How much does something like that cost to buy? Is it less than you’d think?

I gave €135 each for those mate, so cheap really if you think about it.

Like most things, different factors = different prices

Yes cheaper than I was thinking, but I guess it’s all subjective. So what’s the plan with them?

Don’t know yet mate, may be veal, may be beef or may keep and breed them if some decent dexter short legs don’t come up.

Ideally I want to keep small breed dexter or I’d like to get a couple of low line and breed them myself but like most things, when you are looking it’s never that easy......I suppose they will just happen along by accident at some point.

We have white bull calf’s that ain’t even worth putting a tag on an feeding mate as they just don’t sell, usually a bull dairy calf over here can go for anything between 60/100 quid, but it costs about 70ish to tag an rear em ☹️?

It’s a crying shame they don’t push rose veal more in the UK or Ireland, thousands of perfectly healthy calves culled every year....it’s a waste of good meat.

I wouldn’t mind, but you can rear them free range cheap as chips

Does it!.....well I never knew that mate.

I like veal myself and don’t understand why it’s not more popular

Dumb as mate, ppl think it’s a baby cow..... not a fairly large bit of walking beef. Rose veal is good
