Stavross 16,700
Foxes can be released back into the wild because they are a native species although classed as a pest, it’s only illegal if they are a non native pest species I.e. the gray squizzer, like SD said if people are releasing urban foxes into the wind this should be classed as cruelty because you are placing an animal in an environment it is unlikely to survive in Edited April 15, 2020 by Stavross 3 Quote Link to post
bumpy22 414
Shot one before lockdown from one of my fox boxes. Walked out picked him up. He had a shaved area on stomach but no signs of mange to be fair. Though it was slightly odd but chucked it on heap. Had one look back through thermal and there was another in exactly the first place I shot the last. Shot this one and as that may not seem that strange . I have not shot a fox off this patch for a month and I check it two nights a week. In the previous 18 months I have shot over 100 of there untill it slowed. Then two in one night completely changing the pattern and one with a large patch shaved 2 Quote Link to post
Baldcoot 2,352
Them there charidee twonks dont get a bin rootin, mcdonalds muncher thats been hit and they repair it needs to be back in the town where it grw up.Putting a city /town fox ten miles out without clue 1 in the country normally leads to it getting shot pdq.But at the minute its probably going to starve as its never hunted bunny/mouse/worms for tea and mcdonalds is shut . Be like putting me in a health club ,cruelty to dumb animals 2 Quote Link to post

Doesn't happen up here , we just have natural population density not artificially Inflated numbers. Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,101
There has been dumping here in the past without a doubt but the organic chicken farms don’t half pull them from far and wide .I could shoot a fox every night of the year on the one I do .I tend to have decent nights when the numbers are there though as it’s not on my doorstep . Heres a few pics for you FH ,just to show what your missing lol. 5 Quote Link to post

I have built fox boxes in surrounding fields and use bait to pull them away from sheds. Seems to be working as losses are lower. I regularly visit each week. But as farmer said you can't shoot that amount without it effecting. But he said he does not count his tens of thousands of chickens everyday either lol Just look forward to getting out soon. keep getting landowners sending me pictures of bucks etc 1 1 Quote Link to post
