Woodland can be really relaxing , but , it can also be another full time job .

It looks like you're doing a cracking job at your place .

It's amazing how quickly Woodland regenerates . You blink and its changed.

My Mrs is the main stick maker and leather worker ( she pyrographs the sticks) . I just carve the odd bowl , and make a few chopping/serving boards , and forge a viking knife(badly) when I'm in the mood.

If you ever want a few ,  oak , rowan , Hazel,  Holly,  saplings . You're more than welcome to pop to my place and grab as many as you need ?.

Im looking for someone to make me a nice stick Mel b?ive got a load of antlers ive been saving...is it something your goodself and the Wife could sort out for me?

She doesn't use antler dc , and I've only ever used antler on one stick , that I made as a rest for when I'm shooting.

I'll start a thread rather than derail this one, and I'll post a few pics of things that we do at the woodland ?.

There's Rowan in here, and there's more popping up since the canopy has become more open, and a couple of half decent Oak with some regeneration, I've noticed some Hawthorn appearing aswell, the following are some of what I intend to plant to create a dense edge to the ride I've been clearing

Field maple

Dogwood

Guelder rose

Wayfaring tree

Elder

Spindle

I've never heard of a couple of those .

It's certainly going to be keeping you entertained for a long time ?.

I bet he had a canny view, I'd like to try some climbing work one day

As a kid , I would have climbed to the top of that tree in the blink of an eye , but , as a 54 year old , I'd piss my pants just watching someone else climbing it ?.

I wouldn't mind the firewood though ?.
