Hello all

new member of the forum, I’m here to learn and pick up some tips. Currently shooting with a air rifle, but looking to put in for my fire arms lisence when I’ve moved into my new house. Any tips when applying? I’ve got reason to own a rifle ( I work on a poultry farm and have permission to shoot the land surrounding ) any suggestions on Calibre? .

cheers

Welcome

when you are applying for an FAC be completely honest with every question

as for calibre, that depends what you want it for and what the land is suitable for, if it’s for knocking rabbits over then 99% of people start off with the trusty .22lr been on a poultry farm I’m guessing you could be shooting fox so would need a calibre suitable for that

every police force and person on here has their own opinions on what is best for you, the best thing to do is take all the information that is offered to you and make an informed decision from that

good luck
