Think the rain is getting to us mid afternoon so I'm up and on with roofing shed tomorrow morning see if I can get it on before the rain starts.

If I do I might get a few beers out and sit in mi shed to 'check for leaks' whilst taking a minute to admire the fruits of my labour!?

Most definitely, you have them earned, going by the pics. Top job.

Looking forward to the rain, have a load of seed put out, could do with it now.

Yeah, my pond levels have dropped 6inch in last 3-4weeks. Desperate for some rain!

Pond level always fluctuates but usually ok till late may/june, may struggle this year if it carries on like this into a hot summer.

I don't mind the odd shower per day this time of year, it's needed, not just for gardens but for farming and nature as well.

But living on the west coast of Ireland, once it starts, if forgets to stop LOL

Is it fish you keep in the pond ?

Thanks for that.

Been watering twice a day for the last couple of days. I found that the ground was very water logged on some of them, and was afraid id rot the roots if the got too much.

So it's been two days since I watered them. That's no good I take it.

That'll be grand , just people think when there in the ground they won't need watering , but if there pot grown most of the time the plant is bigger than the root ball so rain falling off leaves tends to go no where near the roots and so they dry out

Hopfully. Looks rough now to be fair.  Some nice large natural stone in the back.  Going to be a lot of beds, shrubs ect ect, I don't want a desert of green either.

Also a patio, with, again a large fire pit.

Dug it a few yrs back. There was a thread on it here somewhere. There are fish in it now but mainly a nature pond. Off top if my head we have had....

Water boatmen, great diving beetle, multiple colours of dragonflies, frogs, toads, newts, moorhens, coots, mallards, herons and my favourite the kingfisher.....tho haven't seen him/her for a while.

Amazing how much life water brings.
