Sand Martin's are here today.

Recommended Posts

Had our daily walk up the field as we have been doing since lockdown and the sand Martin's have turned up for the first time today.

They seem to be competing for the same hole in the bank.

We've been seeing a few bunches of lampprey also the last 4 days.

I’ve never bothered mate. get a few fly fisherman down that stretch, I enjoy watching them some evenings to be honest. No doubt I will be putting a spinner through in the next few years to introduce my son to it.

Looks a nice little stream that. I've not seen any swallows/house Martin's here yet. They usually nest on the neighbours house, no sign of them. There was a pair started to build a nest on my house last summer I am hopping they will be back.
