BenBhoy 4,706
Not the best day for me; hydrated lime in my eyes (bit sore) drive myself to a&e. Anyway, talking to nurse get onto sheep yadda yadda, then talk where we from, I said north Wales, her response "ahh so that explains the sheep thing"!! Borderline racism within NHS?? 4 1 Quote Link to post

shovel leaner 7,650
Here’s a picture I took of a shoot day I was invited on about 25 years ago . That’s my hat and old Baikal on the wall . It’s a shame but quite a few of those faces are no longer with us . The pigeons were shot when I was recovering from a back operation over peas . I had to drag the dead birds back to my truck on my hands and knees, I was in agony . I got home and laid them all out for a picture, with my Mrs moaning about the mess the feathers made . I sent this picture into The sporting gun magazine in the hope of winning a copy of “Red letter days” by Jim Albone , remember him anyone ? 4 Quote Link to post

Stavross 16,441
I’ve ran out of thumbs up today, but them last two pictures definitely deserve them, as I’ve said before I’m a bit obsessed with muntjac, Chinese water deer also interest me a lot, I think it’s because I’ve never seen one and they are a strange looking beast, I love the old shoot photos, game shooting for me is all about making quality memories with people of all ages and backgrounds Quote Link to post

As you get older it’s nice to look back . It’s also a bit sad sometimes when I realise how many friends I’ve lost over the years , and quite a few well before their expiry date . Quote Link to post

Expand I’m the same, it’s only since I’ve had a camera on my phone that I take a lot of photos, I wish I had them from when I started out, I’ve been fortunate to meet some proper characters that I’ve leant a lot from, also like you a few of them are not with us any more, everything from suicide to old age, it goes to show you need to make the most of every day because you never know when it’s your time 1 Quote Link to post
Stavross 16,441
Late July out on a fresh cut field, it was baking hot, we waited for them to finish the cut and it wasn’t long before we had a visitor, shot before we lost the light, a lovely way to spent an early summers evening 2 Quote Link to post
